About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Vism by Oc Spray Pouch/Tan is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military design pouches to tactical gear, vests, deployment bags, and other kinds of military equipment. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to choose the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only limitation ends up being which pouches to apply and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are managed in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camouflage patterns.

Kinds Of NcSTAR MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is usually secured with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget friendly ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most advanced kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are built into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine firmly under tension. In order to make mag access easier and mag swaps faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE accessories so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are usually made of ABS construction.
The NcSTAR brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not need to think about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
NcSTAR MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in similar styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically found versions of handgun pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of magazines are generally much better than one. This pouch shows this to be true because it saves you money from needing to buy two separate pouches. As an example, the expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never buy pouches separately when you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag recovery pouches) make a spot for you to dump empty mags and other things into quickly in the field. These tactical pouches are usually held in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty clips after you reload your airsoft rifle, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other gear while in the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for extra security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit must contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft groups work with communications and radios devices in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
