About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Miles Tactical ASP Molle Baton Holder Pouch fits Expandable Batons and Flashlights is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently ended up being popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to military gear, airsoft vests, deployment bags, and other kinds of field gear. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to pick the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only constraint becomes which pouches to apply and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camouflage patterns. Common pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Check out the example swatches in the product description for what they look like:

Kinds Of Miles Tactical MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually attached with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most affordable methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the basic mag pouches with a couple of alterations. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to put in and remove magazines. This enables silent access and increased speed while reloading weapons or accessing gear. These mag pouches can be found in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility easier and reloads faster than ever, this style of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Miles Tactical brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t need to worry about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Miles Tactical MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in related designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines very well with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically chosen versions of handgun pouches. Most of the same companies that make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same style. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are excellent quality, functional, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of mags are generally better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate since it saves you cash from needing to buy two separate pouches. For instance, the expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never buy pouches separately which you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create an area for you to throw empty mags and other things into rapidly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for extra security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players require when they have to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid kit should contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make room for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you may require on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft teams manage radios and communications equipment on the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
