About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Military Tactical Drop Leg Bag Tool Fanny Thigh Pack Leg Rig Utility Pouch Paintball Airsoft Motorcycle Riding Thermite Versipack, Tan is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top choice for securing military design pouches to range gear, airsoft vests, deployment bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps offer a unique way for users to choose the mounting area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only limitation becomes which pouches to apply and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are utilized in the MOLLE management system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE straps, panels, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and simple. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s take a look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment beginning with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camo patterns.
About the MAXTRA Brand
The MAXTRA brand is pretty well-known as a quality pouch manufacturer. They make excellent quality airsoft pouches and other gear. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have questions about their airsoft pouches or customer service questions.
Kinds Of MAXTRA MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally secured with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget-friendly methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access a lot easier and reloads faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The MAXTRA brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending upon manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps securely hold the magazines so you don’t have to worry about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
MAXTRA MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this durable Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly used versions of handgun pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of magazines are usually much better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate considering that it saves you cash from needing to buy two pouches. As an example, the expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever buy pouches individually when you can get them as a group.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make an area for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into rapidly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for extra security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and consists of the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit should contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft groups put to use radios and communications equipment in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
