About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The LIVIQILY Tactical MOLLE Vehicle Visor Panel Truck Car Sun Visor Organizer Holder Pouch Sunshade Storage Bag Fits Most Vehicles is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE webbing straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to pick the installation location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camouflage patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns consist of: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:
About the LIVIQILY Brand
The LIVIQILY brand is fairly popular as a quality gear manufacturer. They create excellent quality airsoft equipment and other products. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or customer service questions.
Types of LIVIQILY MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are quite standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is generally fastened with Velcro. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most economical ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the basic mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access easier and reloads faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The LIVIQILY brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you do not need to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
LIVIQILY MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in similar styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically seen versions of handgun pouches. A number of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design. This includes companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are outstanding quality, usable, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make an area for you to throw empty magazines and other gear into during fights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for additional security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they have to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack should contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for carrying multitools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft organizations use communications and radios equipment on the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
