About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The LIVANS Tactical Molle EMT Pouch, First Aid IFAK MOLLE Pouch Medical Utility Bag Medical Trauma Bag Emergency Pouches for Travel, Car, Camping Include Red-Cross Patch is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE straps provide a flexible method for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are managed in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many various colors and camo patterns.
About the LIVANS Brand
The LIVANS brand is pretty highly-rated in the world of airsoft. They create good quality airsoft pouches and other products. If you have concerns about their tactical gear or customer support inquiries, you can find more information on the brand’s site.
Kinds Of LIVANS MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty basic in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is normally secured with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget-friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access simpler and clip swaps faster than ever, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The LIVANS brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized tension bands (depending upon manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not need to worry about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
LIVANS MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly used variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of mags are generally far better than one. This pouch proves this to be correct because it saves you cash from having to purchase a pair of pouches. For instance, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never ever purchase pouches one at a time when you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create an area for you to discard empty mags and other things into during fights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for extra security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid pack must include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own separate pouch), and other equipment you may need on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft units manage communications and radios devices in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
