About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Lancer Tactical Airsoft Enclosed Magazine Pouch is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches attach with MOLLE webbing straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to pick the mounting area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and describes the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many different colors and camouflage patterns.

Kinds Of Lancer Tactical MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to carry on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. They are one of the initial styles of pouches designed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally fastened with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch design. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most budget friendly methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines. This allows for silent access and increased speed while accessing or swapping weapon equipment. These mag pouches can be available in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Lancer Tactical brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized bungee bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps securely hold the magazines so you don’t need to think about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Lancer Tactical MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically chosen versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers that make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are exceptional quality, functional, and are replicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of magazines are normally far better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate because it saves you money from needing to buy two separate pouches. For instance, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all 6 individually (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever buy pouches individually when you can get them as a group.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create an area for you to throw empty magazines and other things into during fights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for additional security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players need when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. A first aid pack must contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft organizations carry radios and communications equipment in the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
