About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Double Pistol Mag Pouch and Tactical MOLLE EDC Outdoor Flashlight Knife Holster Pouch Hunting Rifle Magazine Pouch Bag Gear is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE webbing straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE straps provide a flexible way for users to select the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camo patterns.

Kinds Of KCTIN MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are quite standard in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally fastened with Velcro. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most budget-friendly ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types resemble the basic mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines. This allows silent access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing equipment. These mag pouches can come in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most advanced kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it holds the magazine firmly under tension. In order to make mag access easier and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE accessories so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch parts are generally made of ABS materials.
The KCTIN brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps securely hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
KCTIN MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most frequently found variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. Two is usually far better than one. This pouch shows this to be correct since it saves you money from having to purchase two pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever purchase pouches separately which you can get them as a group.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create a spot for you to discard empty mags and other gear into quickly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for additional security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they have to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. A first aid pack should include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field gear. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think of things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might require on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft organizations work with radios and communications equipment in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
