About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Hide & Drink, Water Resistant Waxed Canvas Belt Pouch, Multi-Purpose Bag, Utility Pouch for Hiking Hunting Fishing, Camping & Outdoor Accessories, Handmade Includes 101 Year Warranty :: Fatigue is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to equipment, vests, range bags, and other kinds of military equipment. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to pick the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only restriction becomes which pouches to put to use and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and refers to the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of different colors and camouflage patterns.
About the Hide & Drink Brand
The Hide & Drink brand is quite highly-rated in the world of airsoft. They create decent quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have questions about their airsoft gear or consumer service questions.
Types of Hide & Drink MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty standard in design. They are among the original styles of pouches developed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is generally fastened with Velcro. The flap could feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most cost effective methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access simpler and reloads faster than ever, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Hide & Drink brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps securely hold the magazines so you don’t need to think about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Hide & Drink MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches come in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically chosen variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design. This consists of manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are exceptional quality, usable, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. Two is normally far better than one. This pouch shows this to be true since it saves you cash from having to purchase a pair of pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever purchase pouches one at a time which you can get them as a group.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) make an area for you to discard empty mags and other things into quickly. Some dump pouches also have drawstring closure tops for additional security while moving on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they have to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack must include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for holding multitools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own specific pouch), and other equipment you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft units work with radios and communications equipment on the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
