About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The GoodTake Molle Magazine Pouch Tactical Double Triple Military Paintball Vest Equipment Hunting Accessories Universal Mag Bag Cartridge is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE pouches have just recently ended up being popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to military gear, vests, range bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps provide a flexible method for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only restriction becomes which pouches to utilize and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out some of the most effective MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Check out the example swatches below for what they appear like:
About the GoodTake Brand
The GoodTake brand is quite prominently known in the world of airsoft. They manufacture fairly good quality airsoft equipment and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s site if you have questions about their airsoft gear or client service questions.
Types of GoodTake MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally secured with Velcro. In addition to being readily available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most affordable ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few differences. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and reloads faster than before, this design of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The GoodTake brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the tension straps firmly hold the magazines so you do not have to think about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
GoodTake MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in similar designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most frequently used versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same design.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. A pair of magazines are typically much better than one. This pouch shows this to be accurate because it saves you money from having to buy two separate pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever purchase pouches separately when you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag collection pouches) make a space for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into quickly during firefights. These tactical pouches are typically carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after you reload your airsoft rifle, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other gear while on the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a cut or wound on the field. A first aid pack must include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own separate pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft units put to use communications and radios devices on the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
