About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Go Time Gear Exo-Tek H2O MOLLE Water Bottle Pouch Hydration Carrier – Use as MOLLE Water Bottle Holder, Tactical Water Pouch, Hydration Carrier – Fits Up to 40 oz. Wide-Mouth Bottles is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to gear, tactical vests, deployment bags, and other types of field gear. MOLLE straps offer a flexible method for users to choose the mounting area and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only restriction ends up being which pouches to manage and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and describes the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the three parts of the installing system: MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is quick and simple. Simply thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out a few of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many different colors and camo patterns.
About the Go Time Gear Brand
The Go Time Gear brand is quite widely known in the world of airsoft. They manufacture good quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or consumer service questions.
Types of Go Time Gear MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty standard in design. They are among the original designs of pouches developed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is usually fastened with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being available from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget-friendly ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few adjustments. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch style removes the flap leaving an open top to put in and take out magazines. This allows for silent access and increased speed while accessing or reloading gun pouches. These mag pouches can be available in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are built into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine tightly under stretchy bungees. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and magazine reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are usually made of ABS construction.
The Go Time Gear brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t need to worry about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Go Time Gear MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in similar styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most frequently chosen versions of pistol pouches. A number of the same manufacturers that make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same design. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are outstanding quality, functional, and are duplicated by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip collection pouches) create a space for you to discard empty mags and other things into quickly during battle. These tactical pouches are generally carried in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty magazines after reloads, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while on the field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for extra closure security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK stands for individual first aid kit and contains the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. An emergency treatment pack needs to include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft units work with radios and communications devices in the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
