About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Gexgune Tactical Kettle Bag Outdoor Waist Belt Bag 900D Military Water Bottle Holder Bag Waterproof Utility Bag for Running Climbing is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top choice for securing military design pouches to range gear, vests, range bags, and other types of military equipment. MOLLE straps offer a unique way for users to choose the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel area. The only restriction becomes which pouches to employ and where to place them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE represents Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are put to use in the MOLLE management system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE pouches, straps, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is quick and simple. All tactical operators have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s take a look at a few of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in many different colors and camo patterns.
About the Gexgune Brand
The Gexgune brand is pretty well-known in the world of airsoft. They make good quality airsoft pouches and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s website if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or customer service questions.
Kinds Of Gexgune MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. They are among the initial styles of pouches developed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is generally fastened with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch design. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget-friendly ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to put in and take out magazines. This enables quiet access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing gear. These mag pouches can be found in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the newest and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access easier and magazine swaps faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Gexgune brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps securely hold the magazines so you do not have to think about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Gexgune MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches are available in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the basic style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly chosen variations of pistol pouches. A number of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same design. This includes manufacturers like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch styles are exceptional quality, functional, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. Two is generally far better than one. This pouch shows this to be correct because it saves you money from needing to buy two separate pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all 6 individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never ever purchase pouches one at a time when you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create a space for you to dump empty magazines and other gear into quickly. Some dump pouches also have drawstring closure tops for extra security while on the run with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym for individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a gash or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit should include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft units manage communications and radios devices on the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
