About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Flyye Mini Duty Waist Pack Coyote Brown is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last few years due to tactical innovations and inventions. They are the top choice for securing military design pouches to gear, vests, deployment bags, and other kinds of equipment. MOLLE straps provide a flexible way for users to pick the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only constraint becomes which pouches to use and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE management system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE straps, panels, and pouches. Installing tactical pouches is simple and fast. All airsoft players have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s have a look at a few of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can attach to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches below for what they appear like:

Kinds Of Flyye MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are essential to have on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in design. They are one of the original styles of pouches designed to carry extra magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally secured with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch style. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget friendly methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a couple of alterations. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are developed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine tightly under tension. In order to make mag access easier and magazine reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE attachments so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are typically made from ABS components.
The Flyye brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use varying types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps securely hold the magazines so you don’t have to think about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Flyye MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches come in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically used versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) make an area for you to ditch empty mags and other gear into during gunfights. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for additional security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players need when they have to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit should include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make a place for holding multitools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other gear you may need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft organizations use communications and radios devices in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
