About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Bianchi AccuMold Elite Chrome Snap 7915 Pager or Glove Pouch is a tactical pouch. The majority of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE webbing straps and hook-and-loop design accessories. MOLLE straps supply a versatile way for users to select the installation location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE equipment system. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:

Kinds Of Bianchi AccuMold Elite MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are quite standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually secured with Velcro. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most inexpensive methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the standard mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to place and extract magazines. This allows quiet access and increased speed while accessing or reloading gun pouches. These mag pouches can be found in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility a lot easier and magazine reloads faster than before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Bianchi AccuMold Elite brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized tension bands (depending upon manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t need to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Bianchi AccuMold Elite MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most frequently found variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same design. This consists of companies like Blue Force Gear, and High Speed Gear. Both of their rifle mag pouch designs are outstanding quality, functional, and are reproduced by airsoft pouch companies.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. Two is typically far better than one. This pouch shows this to be correct given that it saves you cash from needing to buy a pair of pouches. For example, the cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six separately (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never ever purchase pouches one at a time which you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) make a space for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into rapidly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for extra security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. A first aid kit must contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for holding tools, folded maps, pens, and other field items. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own specific pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or in a tactical circumstance.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft units use communications and radios devices on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
