About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Azarxis Tactical Cell Phone Holster Pouch, Tactical Smartphone Pouches EDC Cellphone Case Molle Gadget Bag Molle Attachment Belt Card Holder Waist Bag is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have just recently become popular in the last few years due to tactical developments and inventions. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to military gear, tactical vests, range bags, and other types of military equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique method for users to choose the mounting place and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only limitation becomes which pouches to put to use and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE gear system. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s look at some of the leading MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches can be found in all colors and camo patterns. Common pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they appear like:

The Azarxis brand is pretty well-known as a quality gear maker. They produce really good quality airsoft equipment and other products. If you have questions about their pouches or customer service inquiries, you can find more information on the brand’s business website.
Types of Azarxis MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to carry on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in design. They are among the original styles of pouches created to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually secured with Velcro. The flap might include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch design. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most inexpensive methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the standard mag pouches with a couple of differences. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch style gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility easier and reloads faster than before, this style of tactical pouch uses MOLLE straps so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Azarxis brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending upon producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t have to worry about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Azarxis MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes several basic pistol pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most commonly used variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all 6 independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag collection pouches) make a space for you to discard empty mags and other things into quickly. These tactical pouches are normally held in a rolled up position and secured by a button or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after you reload your weapon, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while on the airsoft field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for added closure security while moving with a pouch full of empty mags.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym for individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. A first aid pack should include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other gear you may need on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft groups work with radios and communications equipment on the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
