About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Aker Leather Mace Case A575-BP-H is a tactical pouch. The majority of tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to pick the installation place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are utilized in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE pouches, panels, and straps. Mounting tactical pouches is easy and quick. Merely thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s take a look at some of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of various colors and camo patterns.

Types of Aker Leather MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘standard’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is typically fastened with Velcro. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are resilient and one of the most affordable methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches resemble the standard mag pouches with a couple of adjustments. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to insert and extract magazines. This allows for quiet access and increased speed while accessing or refilling weapon gear. These mag pouches can be available in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access easier and clip swaps faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE straps so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Aker Leather brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized stress bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t need to be concerned about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Aker Leather MOLLE Airsoft Gun Handgun Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in similar styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this resilient Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically used variations of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the very same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and pistol magazine. Two is normally far better than one. This pouch proves this to be correct because it saves you money from having to buy two pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six independently (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines). Never ever buy pouches individually which you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a clip retrieval pouches) create a spot for you to discard empty magazines and other gear into quickly. These tactical pouches are typically held in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty clips after you reload your gun, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while in the airsoft field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players need when they need to patch up a scrape or wound on the field. A first aid kit needs to include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field items. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else generally. You can carry things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own specific pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft units put to use communications and radios devices in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
