About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Wilder Tactical USA Made Evolution Universal Single Pistol Magazine Pouch, MOLLE-Lok is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE straps offer a versatile way for users to select the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel area.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE means Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are utilized in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE straps, pouches, and panels. Installing tactical pouches is simple and fast. All airsoft players have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s take a look at a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can add to your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camouflage patterns. Common pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Common pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they appear like:

The Wilder Tactical brand is pretty popular among airsoft players. They create decent quality airsoft equipment and other gear. If you have concerns about their pouches or customer service inquiries, you can find additional information on the brand’s site.
Kinds Of Wilder Tactical MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually attached with Velcro. In addition to being available from lots of tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most economical ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are comparable to the basic mag pouches with a few alterations. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch style eliminates the flap leaving an open top to place and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most advanced type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Wilder Tactical brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized stress bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t have to be concerned about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Wilder Tactical MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in similar styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the basic design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically used variations of pistol pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same style.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch featuring both a rifle and pistol magazine. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over purchasing all six individually (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create a space for you to dump empty mags and other gear into quickly during battle. These tactical pouches are typically carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty mags after you reload your gun, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other tactical gear while in the airsoft field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added closure security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a gash or wound on the field. An emergency treatment kit should include the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled bandages, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for holding tools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you may need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Lots of airsoft teams put to use communications and radios devices in the field. Operating a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and family band radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
