About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The Waterproof Small EDC Fatty Pocket Organizer Tactical Molle Waist Pouch Utility Gadget Security Pack Carry Accessory Bag with Cell Phone Holster Holder for 5.7 inch iPhone 5 6 7 5s 6s 7s Plus is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top choice for securing military style pouches to equipment, tactical vests, range bags, and other kinds of military equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique method for users to choose the mounting area and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only restriction becomes which pouches to manage and where to put them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE means Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are used in the MOLLE equipment system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE straps, pouches, and panels. Mounting tactical pouches is simple and fast. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to set them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out a few of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:

Kinds Of Walking Man MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft gun rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ due to the fact that they are pretty standard in design. They are among the original styles of pouches created to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for included security that is generally secured with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch design. In addition to being available from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most budget friendly methods to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types resemble the standard mag pouches with a few enhancements. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to put in and remove magazines. This allows for quiet access and increased speed while reloading guns or accessing gear. These mag pouches can be available in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the most recent and most innovative kind of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are constructed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine firmly under tension. In order to make mag access simpler and mag changes faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch elements are typically made from ABS construction.
The Walking Man brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized bungee bands (depending on producer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and using a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps securely hold the magazines so you do not need to be concerned about losing the mag during quick motions, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Walking Man MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in similar styles to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which can be found in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this durable Velcro flip top design.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most frequently found variations of handgun pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. Two is typically far better than one. This pouch proves this to be true since it saves you money from needing to buy two pouches. For instance, the expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equates to about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over buying all six independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never purchase pouches individually which you can get them together.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create a space for you to ditch empty magazines and other things into rapidly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for extra security while on the run with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a gash or injury on the field. An emergency treatment pack needs to contain the following items: medical tape or fabric tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze bandages, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, trauma shears, tweezers, and Other items.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else generally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own special pouch), and other equipment you may need on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft teams put to use communications and radios devices on the field. Using a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
