About Morale Patches
Morale patches permit you to decorate your tactical gear in the field and are confidence boosters. These patches are styled around things like film quotes, memes, funny sayings, quips, and other off-the-cuff remarks. The patch design style consists of and differs text, images, and graphics.
Morale Patches for Groups
Tactical teams, airsoft teams, and military units typically have a group patch or patch set. If you are a team leader, pick a standard group of patches including a couple of morale patches which represent your squad. You can use these team patches for team acknowledgment, awards, achievements, and rank advancements. It is a great method to create camaraderie within your unit. You can also keep a few spares on-hand for exchanging patches with patch collectors, friendly units, or allied teams.
Mission Specific Patches
The majority of special missions, military operations, or airsoft tournaments usually have their own patches. Unit members or players who wear these patches have the prestige that originates from completing that operation, assignment, or mission. Mission patches are an excellent way to highlight who attended when the mission occurred.
Morale Patch Attachment
The majority of morale patches connect to gear, uniforms, tactical vests, and bags using Velcro or hook and loop attachment backing. The hook side is generally located on the back of the patch with the loop attachment side on the bag, vest, or uniform panel. Other types of patches include iron-on and sew-on. Iron-on patches use an adhesive glue-like backing which warms up to stick to the positioning area. Sew-on patches need to use heavy duty stitching machines and matching thread to attach to a uniform or BDU shirt.
Types of Patch Material
Morale patch material depends upon the producer. The primary front of the patch typically includes embroidered thread or PVC plastic material. The edges of the patch are sewn and the back is normally a Velcro loop backing area.
