Airsoft Gun Magazines Details
Airsoft weapons shoot airsoft BBs. These BBs are normally stored in the weapon’s magazine. These mags usually connect to the airsoft weapon similar to the real weapons they are imitated. The kinds of airsoft weapon magazines consist of real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity magazines.
Airsoft Weapon Magazine Types
Airsoft weapon mags come in multiple types like real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity mags. Real capacity mags, or real-caps, simulate the quantity of airsoft BBs a genuine weapon would hold, which is generally about 24 to 30 BBs. Mid capability mags, or mid-caps, enable for more airsoft BB storage with capacities about 120 to 160 BBs.
Information on How Airsoft Mags Work
Airsoft mags have a series of internal channels and BB storage locations. When a BB is fired, the airsoft gun releases the lock for a fraction of a second and loads another BB into the gun out of the mag. HPA, CO2, and GBB guns, which use high pressure air or green gas, will frequently stash the gas or feed air in through the mag.
Airsoft Rifle Mags
Airsoft rifle magazines are usually used in automatic electric guns (AEGs) and some kinds of sniper rifles. The mags are directly related to the type of AEG rifle and all of the kinds of that rifle are cross-compatible with the mags. Understand how airsoft guns function. The AEG mags are inserted into the weapon’s magazine well. For instance M4 design AEG mags would usually operate in all M4 design rifles from a short CBQ gun with a 10 inch barrel made by KWA to a designated marksman rifle (DMR) platform with a 24″ barrel. The same cross-compatibility would apply to AK47 AEG mags with swapability between various AK rifle platforms. AEG rifle magazines can keep between 60 to 200+ airsoft BBs.
Information on Airsoft SMG Mags
Airsoft SMG mags AEG are also separated by gun model and functional in between various submachine guns. These SMG magazines also come in real capacity, mid capacity, and high capacity variations with BB storage capacities varying from around 24 airsoft BBs with real capacity mags to over 200 BBs with high capacity magazines. Rifle Magazines for Green Gas and HPA Systems These magazines use air and gas to function so the magazines frequently come with builtin gas tanks or pre-tapped for HPA tank connections. The magazines used in GBB guns keep gas in the magazine so the rifle cycles every shot and feeds in the next BB.
About Airsoft Pistol Mags
Airsoft handgun mags are typically less versatile when compared to the AEG magazines used in smgs and rifles. Many airsoft handgun mags can hold around 20 to 30 airsoft BBs.
