Internal, caliber specific locks are more secure and effective than external designs. All calibers are MD and CA DOJ approved. Semi-Auto pistol locks engage the extractor, locking the slide onto the frame. *(Please note: Locking the slide to the frame is a secondary benefit that doesn’t apply to all gun models) Whether the slide is locked or not, the internal gunlock primarily functions to securely lock the chamber, preventing a round from chambering, and ending accidental discharge. Whether the gunlock is engaged (locked) or not, a round cannot be chambered without racking the slide first – ENDING ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE Child resistant folding key, with a bushing that self-centers the key to the lock.
