About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The Dooep Tactical Molle EDC Pouch Compact 1000D Multipurpose Utility Gadget Belt Waist Bag IFAK Bag Smartphone Pouch Tool Holster Pocket Includes U.S.A Patch is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches connect with MOLLE snap straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE straps provide a versatile way for users to pick the installation location and position of the pouch and mount them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym meaning Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are managed in the MOLLE management system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE straps, pouches, and panels. Mounting tactical pouches is quick and easy. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how it works, let’s check out a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camouflage patterns. Typical pouch colors consist of: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns include: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches in the product description for what they appear like:
About the Dooep Brand
The Dooep brand is fairly highly-rated among airsoft players. They manufacture outstanding quality airsoft equipment and other products. You can find information on the brand’s site if you have questions about their airsoft pouches or consumer service questions.
Types of Dooep MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are important to have on your equipment for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other types of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are also called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty standard in style. They are among the original designs of pouches created to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is normally fastened with Velcro. The flap could include a plastic side-release buckle depending upon pouch design. In addition to being offered from lots of tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are durable and one of the most economical ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few modifications. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design eliminates the flap leaving an open top to place and extract magazines. This enables quiet access and increased speed while accessing or swapping weapon equipment. These mag pouches can be found in single or triple magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access simpler and clip reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE connections so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The Dooep brand also makes retention mag pouches like the FastMag design use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized tension bands (depending on manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps firmly hold the magazines so you don’t have to think about losing the mag during fast motions, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
Dooep MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches come in related designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which can be found in the standard style have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines effectively with this durable Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most commonly found versions of handgun pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine collection pouches) create a space for you to dump empty mags and other things into quickly. These tactical pouches are typically held in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be rapidly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty mags after reloads, additional airsoft BBs/shells, and other gear while in the field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK is an acronym meaning individual first aid kit and contains the equipment airsoft players require when they need to patch up a scrape or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit needs to contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, a number of sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create room for carrying a Leatherman, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. You can carry things like spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own specific pouch), and other gear you may require on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Many airsoft organizations carry communications and radios equipment on the field. Adopting a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radio handsets like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
