About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The BraveHawk OUTDOORS Tactical MOLLE Attachment Pouch, 900D Nylon Oxford Water-Resistant Compact EDC Utility Gadget Gear Admin Pouch Military Carry Accessory Belt Hanging Waist Bag (2-Pack) is a tactical pouch. Most tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style accessories. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military design pouches to military gear, tactical vests, deployment bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps offer a flexible way for users to choose the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE attachment panel location. The only constraint becomes which pouches to use and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE is an acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and defines the pouches, panels, and straps which are employed in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the three parts of the mounting system: MOLLE panels, pouches, and straps. Mounting tactical pouches is fast and easy. Merely thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we understand what MOLLE is and how the attachment system works, let’s check out a few of the most functional MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft equipment starting with airsoft gun magazine pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches come in lots of different colors and camo patterns.

The BraveHawk OUTDOORS brand is fairly prominently known as a quality brand. They create decent quality airsoft equipment and other gear. You can find information on the brand’s website if you have concerns about their airsoft pouches or consumer service questions.
Types of BraveHawk OUTDOORS MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ since they are pretty basic in design. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is generally attached with Velcro. In addition to being offered from many tactical equipment companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most budget-friendly ways to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the standard mag pouches with a few differences. As the tactical pouch name suggests, this pouch design gets rid of the flap leaving an open top to insert and take out magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most sophisticated type of tactical mag pouches. The retention systems are constructed into the magazine pocket so that it carries the magazine securely under stretchy bungees. In order to make mag access easier and mag swaps faster than ever before, this style of tactical pouch utilizes MOLLE accessories so it can be mounted at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest. The pouch parts are typically made from ABS construction.
The BraveHawk OUTDOORS brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag design use differing kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized stress bands (depending upon maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard tug up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t need to worry about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
BraveHawk OUTDOORS MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Pistol magazine pouches are available in similar designs to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which are available in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a number of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most typically used versions of pistol pouches. A lot of the same manufacturers which make rifle mag pouches make matching handgun magazine pouches in the exact same design.
Combo Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of magazines are usually far better than one. This pouch proves this to be true since it saves you cash from needing to buy two pouches. The expense of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six individually (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never buy pouches one at a time which you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a mag retrieval pouches) make a space for you to dump empty mags and other gear into quickly in the field. These tactical pouches are usually carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to increase in size and hold empty mags after you reload your rifle, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other equipment while on the field. Some dump pouches even have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a full pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft equipment loadout. IFAK means individual first aid kit and includes the medical gear airsoft players need when they need to patch up a gash or injury on the field. An emergency treatment kit should contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create a place for holding tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which don’t go anywhere else normally. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other gear you might require on the airsoft field or tactical scenario.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft teams manage radios and communications equipment in the field. Running a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These small radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 series and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
