About MOLLE Pouches and Gear
The ASATechmed Tactical Military MOLLE EMT First Aid IFAK Utility Medical Pouch Plus Free Matching Color EMT Shears Ideal Gift for First Responder, EMT, Paramedics, Soldiers, Police and Many More is a tactical pouch. A lot of tactical pouches attach with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop design attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently become popular in the last several years due to tactical developments and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top choice for securing military design pouches to tactical equipment, airsoft vests, range bags, and other kinds of military equipment. MOLLE straps provide a unique method for users to pick the mounting place and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on equipment where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only constraint ends up being which pouches to manage and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are managed in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the 3 parts of the mounting system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Installing tactical pouches is quick and simple. Just thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s take a look at some of the most efficient MOLLE pouches you can put on your airsoft gear starting with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches can be found in all colors and camo patterns. Typical pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: woodland, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Take a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:
About the ASATechmed Brand
The ASATechmed brand is pretty highly-rated in the world of airsoft. They produce fairly good quality airsoft equipment and other gear. If you have questions about their pouches or customer inquiries, you can find more information on the brand’s business website.
Types of ASATechmed MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
Rifle magazines are necessary to have on your gear for holding M4/AR -15, AK-47, and other kinds of airsoft weapon rifle magazines. These are usually called ‘standard’ pouches or just ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty basic in design. They are one of the initial designs of pouches developed to carry spare magazines with you in the field. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for added security that is usually attached with Velcro. The flap might feature a plastic side-release buckle depending on pouch style. In addition to being available from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, basic rifle magazine pouches are durable and among the most affordable methods to carry magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouch types are similar to the basic mag pouches with a couple of modifications. As the tactical pouch name indicates, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to place and take out magazines. This allows silent access and increased speed while accessing or reloading gun gear. These mag pouches can be found in triple or single magazine holding setups.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag accessibility easier and magazine reloads faster than ever, this style of tactical pouch makes use of MOLLE straps so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The ASATechmed brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use differing types of retention to grip the magazines and provide security including bungee cords or rubberized tension bands (depending on maker). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and giving it a hard yank up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the bungee straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t need to think about losing the mag during quick movements, crawling, climbing up things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
ASATechmed MOLLE Airsoft Gun Pistol Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in related designs to the rifle pouches with basic flip top, open top, and open top with retention styles of tactical pouches. The handgun magazine pouches which come in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a few basic handgun pouches which secure airsoft gun magazines very well with this long lasting Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention pistol pouches are the most typically found variations of pistol pouches. A lot of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the very same style.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired style of pouch featuring both a rifle and handgun magazine. A pair of mags are typically better than one. This pouch proves this to be true because it saves you money from having to buy a pair of pouches. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) savings over buying all six independently (3x rifle and 3x pistol magazines). Never purchase pouches separately when you can get them grouped.
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine recovery pouches) create an area for you to dump empty magazines and other gear into quickly. Some dump pouches even have drawstring closure tops for additional security while moving with a filled pouch.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK represents individual first aid kit and includes the equipment airsoft players require when they have to patch up a cut or wound on the field. An emergency treatment pack must contain the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antibacterial wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches create space for holding tools, folded maps, pens, and other field gear. These pouches are basic use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else usually. Think of things like extra airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they don’t have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might need on the airsoft field or in a tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Attachments
Lots of airsoft units work with communications and radios equipment on the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE accessories helps you secure your communications equipment while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
