About MOLLE Pouches and Equipment
The CamGo Small Tactical Bag MOLLE First Aid Kit Bag IFAK Medical Utility Pouch for Home Workplace Camping Travel Black is a tactical pouch. Many tactical pouches connect with MOLLE straps and hook-and-loop style attachments. MOLLE pouches have recently ended up being popular in the last several years due to tactical innovations and gear efficiency focused products. They are the top option for securing military style pouches to equipment, airsoft vests, deployment bags, and other types of equipment. MOLLE straps provide a flexible way for users to select the mounting location and position of the pouch and install them anywhere on gear where there is a MOLLE accessory panel location. The only limitation ends up being which pouches to utilize and where to position them.
What is MOLLE?
MOLLE stands for Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment and identifies the pouches, panels, and straps which are applied in the MOLLE gear system. Here are the 3 parts of the installing system: MOLLE panels, straps, and pouches. Mounting tactical pouches is easy and quick. All airsoft players have to do is thread the straps and snap the buttons to secure them in place. Now that we know what MOLLE is and how the system works, let’s have a look at a few of the best MOLLE pouches you can include in your airsoft gear beginning with airsoft weapon mag pouches.
Colors of MOLLE Pouches and Camouflage Patterns
MOLLE tactical pouches are available in all colors and camouflage patterns. Common pouch colors include: black, tan, OD green (olive drab), foliage green (sage), ranger green, and grey. Typical pouch camouflage patterns consist of: forest, desert, A-TACs, Multicam, ACU (Army Combat Uniform), digital, and others. Have a look at the example swatches below for what they look like:
About the CamGo Brand
The CamGo brand is pretty popular as a quality pouch maker. They make fairly good quality airsoft pouches and other products. You can find answers on the brand’s site if you have concerns about their airsoft gear or consumer service questions.
Kinds Of CamGo MOLLE Pouches
Standard Rifle Magazine Pouches
These are usually called ‘basic’ pouches or simply ‘mag pouches’ because they are pretty basic in style. The magazines are secured inside the pouch with a top flap for extra security that is generally secured with Velcro. In addition to being offered from many tactical gear companies in the airsoft industry, standard rifle magazine pouches are long lasting and one of the most budget-friendly ways to hold magazines.
Tactical Open Top Magazine Pouches
Open top magazine pouches are similar to the basic mag pouches with a few adjustments. As the tactical pouch name implies, this pouch design removes the flap leaving an open top to insert and remove magazines.
Open Top MOLLE Magazine Pouches with Retention
Open top magazine pouches with retention systems are the latest and most innovative type of tactical mag pouches. In order to make mag access simpler and reloads faster than ever before, this design of tactical pouch uses MOLLE attachments so it can be installed at any angle on a MOLLE tactical vest.
The CamGo brand also makes retention magazine pouches like the FastMag style use varying kinds of retention to grip the magazines and offer security including bungee cables or rubberized tension bands (depending upon manufacturer). Magazines are quickly reloadable by indexing the magazine and providing a hard pull up out of the pouch. While kept in the holder, the stress straps safely hold the magazines so you don’t need to worry about losing the mag during fast movements, crawling, climbing over things, or maneuvers in training or on the airsoft field.
CamGo MOLLE Airsoft Weapon Handgun Magazine Pouches
Handgun magazine pouches can be found in related styles to the rifle pouches with standard flip top, open top, and open top with retention designs of tactical pouches. The pistol magazine pouches which come in the standard design have a Velcro flap. Condor makes a couple of standard handgun pouches which secure airsoft weapon magazines effectively with this resilient Velcro flip top style.
The open top and open top with retention handgun pouches are the most frequently used versions of handgun pouches. Many of the same companies which make rifle mag pouches make matching pistol magazine pouches in the same design.
Combination Magazine Tactical Pouches Kangaroo, Stacker, and Hybrid
Kangaroo tactical pouches are a paired design of pouch including both a rifle and handgun magazine. The cost of one triple mag kangaroo pouch equals about a seventy-five percent (75%) cost savings over purchasing all 6 separately (3x rifle and 3x handgun magazines).
Tactical Dump Pouches
Dump pouches (a.k.a magazine retrieval pouches) create a space for you to place empty magazines and other things into rapidly. These tactical pouches are generally carried on your belt in a rolled up position and secured by a snap or strap. The pouch can be quickly unrolled to expand in size and hold empty clips after you reload your gun, extra airsoft BBs/shells, and other gear while on the field. Some dump pouches also have drawstring tops for added security while moving with a pouch that is full.
Tactical IFAK Medical MOLLE Pouches
Medical pouches are a must have for an airsoft gear loadout. IFAK is an acronym for individual first aid kit and consists of the medical gear airsoft players require when they need to patch up a gash or injury on the field. A first aid kit must include the following items: medical tape or cloth tape, Band-Aids or adhesive bandages, Ibuprofen or Aspirin, rolled gauze, several sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, folding CPR mask or breath barrier, non-latex gloves, cutting shears, tweezers, and Other medical products.
MOLLE Admin Pouches
Admin pouches make space for carrying tools, folded maps, pens, compasses, and other field supplies. These pouches are general use pouches for odds and ends which do not go anywhere else normally. Think spare airsoft BB bags, red dead rags, multitools (if they do not have their own unique pouch), and other equipment you might require on the airsoft field or tactical situation.
Tactical Radio Pouches with MOLLE Accessories
Many airsoft organizations employ communications and radios devices in the field. Applying a radio pouch with MOLLE attachments helps you secure your communications gear while moving. These little radio pouches will hold most walkie-talkies and portable radios like the Motorola TALKABOUT T800 models and Baofeng UV-5R VHR radios.
